TRAVELCLEFxSSD, previously titled Project: Over The Rainbow, was a daring and exciting collaboration between Sentire Singapore, Singapore School for the Deaf (SSD), and TravelClef (http://www.travelclef.com/) in August 2014.
A special 3-day workshop created by TravelClef was held at the SSD to familiarize the students of the SSD with the ukulele and how it is played. The students were also taught simple strumming techniques and how to strum simple chords.
This event culminated in an informal performance where the students of the SSD performed the song on their ukuleles while the instructors of TravelClef sang the song ‘Just The Way You Are’ by Bruno Mars.
